Weddings
Christian wedding services that honour the covenant of marriage, celebrate your commitment to one another, and seek God’s blessing on your life together.
Pastor, ministry leaders, and the volunteers who serve our congregation.
Christian Brydges is our Pastor. Corinne Brydges leads our Women’s Ministry. Alongside them, our Session, Board, Choir and office administrator each help our church worship, serve and care for one another.
We seek to make Jesus Christ known and to walk alongside people through the joys, questions, and difficult seasons of life.

Pastor
Christian's ministry centres on opening the Scriptures and helping people hear their invitation, challenge and hope. His preaching brings biblical teaching into conversation with everyday life, keeping Jesus Christ and the grace of the Gospel at the centre.
He believes the church is called to make disciples: people who learn to follow Christ and help others do the same. That calling shapes his concern for prayer, pastoral care and a congregation willing to serve beyond its own walls. He wants people to be able to bring honest questions, find support in difficult seasons and discover ways to put their faith into practice.
Christian is also the author of the Maple Hollow stories. Through the humour and complications of a fictional small town, he explores the relationships, responsibilities and unexpected kindnesses that shape a community.

Leader of Women's Ministry
Corinne leads the women's ministry at Community Presbyterian Church through The Well Cafe. Her focus is on creating room for women to build friendships, explore faith, pray together and encourage one another through the changing seasons of life.
She brings Newfoundland roots and a Pentecostal faith background to the pastoral team. Her ministry values hospitality and personal connection: welcoming someone new, listening with care, and helping women feel able to take part without needing to have everything figured out.
Through The Well Cafe, Corinne seeks to connect the warmth of a shared gathering with the lasting encouragement found in Jesus Christ. She welcomes women who already belong to a church, those returning after time away, and those who are curious about Christian faith.
Women’s Ministries provides opportunities for women to connect, encourage one another, and grow in their Christian faith.
Under Corinne’s leadership, we hold three or four events each year. These gatherings are an invitation to share in Christian fellowship and build relationships within our church community.

Governing elders
The Session is the church’s court, consisting of the minister and elected elders. The session is responsible for the spiritual leadership and the care of the church. It shares oversight of worship, discipleship, and the well-being of the congregation. Session administers the sacraments, receives new members and directs the various programs.
Board of Managers
The Board looks after the practical matters of the church. It is responsible for property, finances and day-to-day operations, so that our ministries can flourish. The board cares for the church building, manages the annual budget, and handles insurance and property requirements.

Music ministry
Community Presbyterian Church Choir is small but mighty. No auditions are required, just a love of singing. We meet regularly on Wednesdays from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., and also practice a few minutes before Sunday church services at 9:30 a.m. If you can't make Wednesday's practice, you can join us for Sunday's pre-service practice. We are always happy to welcome new members. Come and join in the fun. Contact choir director/organist Susan McCuan-Harron, 613-257-9062, for more information.
Church office & administration
The office administrator ensures the church runs smoothly by managing daily office tasks. She answers the phone, replies to email, manages calendars, tracks inventory, orders office supplies and prepares documents and reports. She prepares cheques for paying bills and works closely with the treasurer.
The heart of our ministry
We want our life together and our service to point people to Jesus Christ: growing in His Word, caring for our neighbours, and helping others follow Him.
We offer weddings, funerals, and baptisms at the church or at another location by arrangement. Please contact us to discuss your needs and the service you have in mind.

Funeral and memorial services with compassionate pastoral care, space to remember a loved one, and the comfort and hope of the Christian faith.
Baptism services celebrating God’s grace and promises. We welcome a conversation about baptism, its meaning, and preparation for the service.

Our ministry is centred on Jesus Christ and rooted in the Bible. These convictions shape how we teach, pray, care for people, and serve.
We believe in one true God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—the Creator and sovereign Lord of all. He is holy, loving, just, and faithful.
Deuteronomy 6:4 · Matthew 28:19
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and our governing authority for faith and life. Through Scripture, God makes Himself known and teaches us how to follow Him.
2 Timothy 3:16–17
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human. He died for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and reigns as Lord. Forgiveness and reconciliation with God are found in Him.
John 1:1–14 · 1 Corinthians 15:3–4
We believe salvation is God’s gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ, not earned by good works. The Holy Spirit brings new birth, calling us to repentance and a life of trust and obedience.
John 3:3–8 · Ephesians 2:8–10
We believe the Holy Spirit lives in believers, comforts and guides us, and equips us to serve. We are called to prayer, worship, fellowship, compassion, and the making of disciples.
Romans 8:9–16 · Matthew 28:18–20
We trust in Christ’s finished work and His faithfulness to keep those who belong to Him. We look forward to His return, the resurrection, and eternal life in God’s presence.
John 10:27–29 · 1 Peter 1:3–5
