Maple Hollow Stories

Stories by Christian Brydges

Welcome to Maple Hollow, a fictional small town with an Ottawa Valley spirit and a habit of turning ordinary plans into memorable complications. Written by Christian Brydges, the stories explore the humour, friendship, grief and acts of kindness through which a community learns to care for its people.

Church life is part of the town, alongside its shops, homes, workplaces and gathering places. The stories are rooted in Christian faith and attentive to the wider human life around them. Their characters make mistakes, carry responsibilities, disagree, forgive and sometimes discover that helping a neighbour is more complicated than it first appeared.

Maple Hollow has its own people, geography and history. Its small-town atmosphere may feel familiar, but it is a world of fiction, with room for readers of different generations to find something that speaks to them.
